Thomas Wolf will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer of PackSynergy AG in Ravensburg on April 1, 2026. He succeeds Thomas Baur, who will retire in early 2026 after many years of successful service to PackSynergy.

With the departure of Thomas Baur, an era comes to an end at PackSynergy AG in Ravensburg. Over many years, he has shaped the company and the entire network with great foresight, determination and a clear strategic vision.

Under his leadership, PackSynergy AG developed into a strong European alliance of medium-sized packaging distributors, now firmly established in the industry as a reliable partner, a source of innovation and a connecting network. Through his entrepreneurial mindset and strong understanding of people, Thomas Baur made a decisive contribution not only to the company’s economic growth, but also to fostering a culture of trust, cooperation and sustainable action.

Particularly noteworthy is his commitment to continuously strengthening collaboration within the network and placing it on a forward-looking foundation. Numerous initiatives launched under his leadership have reinforced the organization and contributed to the long-term success of its members.

PackSynergy AG would like to express its sincere gratitude to Thomas Baur for his dedicated and highly successful work, characterized by a strong sense of responsibility. His personality and commitment have left a lasting mark on the organization.

With Thomas Wolf, PackSynergy AG gains an experienced executive with proven expertise in network and cluster management as well as association leadership. Holding a degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship, he has served as Head of Division at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg, where he was responsible for key areas including innovation and technology, energy and environment, internationalization and business development. In addition, the 48-year-old has been a member of the Chamber’s executive management team for nine years. For 13 years, he also served as Managing Director of TechnologyMountains e. V., where he successfully developed the network from 40 to more than 500 members.

Active in 26 European countries, the association has, for more than 25 years, strategically connected local champions of the packaging industry into a strong cross-border network. Its objective is to create added value for members and customers through cooperation, exchange of experience and joint activities.
